  1. Will I lose control over my data since the server is not at our location?

    No you wont. In fact you'll have more control over your data than you presently do. This fear is only a perception related to seeing your server with your own eyes. Seeing your servers, touching your servers, has nothing to do with controlling your data.

    There are dozens of things that can affect, alter, or even destroy, steal, or compromise your data, and statistically speaking, 80% of those come from within your own infrastructure and from your own employees while only 20% of the dangers come from outside sources.

    15 or 20 years ago, having your servers on your premises was indeed a good way to protect your data. The Internet was at its infancy. Firewalls didn't even exist yet, and very few people were truly knowledgeable about computers or computer programming.

    In our day and age, networks and infrastructures are managed more in a virtual manner: hacking techniques, phishing, shadowing, silent intruders (viruses, Trojans, worms), are but a small sample of the threats that the data on your servers faces. At iGOvirtual™, we've gathered together the best experts in the field and the best techniques in the world, and applied them to the security of your data in order to create the safest work environment on the planet for our clients. It would be our pleasure to explain these security measures to you, and all the equipment and procedures that we've put in place with only one goal in mind: to constantly be at the vanguard of data security.

    Now, that being said; let us reverse the question. How sure are you that your data, stored in your servers, is safe and under your control? How sure are you that your access protocols are really working as they should? How secure is your remote access configuration, and how truly protected are you from intrusions, viruses, worms, spyware, and all those other nasty things? Would you be willing to bet the future of your company on the safety of your network? We are. This is our field of expertise and we are willing to bet that your data will be safer chez nous than anywhere else in the world (including chez vous).

  2. Our work schedule is really weird. Are you sure we'll have support service 24/7, everyday of the year?

    You bet! If you need that extra support however, we offer a premium support package whose billing is based on the quantity of employees that use iGOvirtual™ with a fixed starting fee per company.

  3. We have to archive and be able to retrieve all our emails going back 7 years. Will that work with iGOvirtual™?

    Yup. iGOvirtual™ comes with an incremental back-up system that saves everything going back 6 months. If you need to retrieve and store all incoming and outgoing emails going back up to 7 years, we offer an archiving service that fits that bill for a defined fee.

  4. How safe is your equipment? Can it crash?

    Oriso has invested considerably in its infrastructure. Considerably. We have, and always will have, the most high-performance equipment and software available on the market. It's what we do. We have so much redundancy built-in that it would blow the minds of any technophile. Currently we have redundant hard-drives, a flotilla of CPUs, stacks upon stacks of RAM, and tons of redundant power supplies; all this redundancy is built-in separately for applications and separately for data. Not only that but we have a second data centre, in a different physical location, equipped with exactly the same stuff as the first, mirroring everything the first data centre does. If the worst-case scenario would happen, say our data centre would go up in flames, we can switch everything to run from our second location while we fix the first.

    Now, that's efficient redundancy!

  5. Do you know that efficient redundancy is an oxymoron?

    Yes, but not in our industry. We're very proud of our efficient redundancy.

  6. Have you ever been hacked?

    Nope. We've made sure that our security level is set to the highest of standards and we monitor every request and transmission that goes through our firewalls.

  7. Since this is all done through the Internet, how can you protect my data when all that is needed to access the system is a username and password?

    The security levels used by iGOvirtual™ are the same as for banks: VPN-SSL 128-bit encryption. However the protection of the password and username still resides in the hands of each user. Be that as it may, Oriso has nonetheless implemented certain preferred practices when it comes to passwords:
    • Regular and mandatory password changes
    • The system only accepts complex passwords and warns you if your own is too simple or easily crackable.
    • A thorough monitoring of profile and status modification requests (mostly related to file access, directories, and applications), which requires the approval of upper-level management.
    You also have to remember that even if someone steals a username and password, that person will only get the access of that one user's profile settings. And it's you who decides who has access to what. Our job is to make sure that it stays that way.

    If you feel that you need even more security on your end, we can install some more protection for you, such as SecureID. SecureID is a digital key, with a seven-digit number generator inside that changes every seven seconds. When you insert the key into your workstation, a powerful identification algorithm scans it and compares it to its own internal number generator. If the numbers match, it lets you in, if they don't an alarm is recorded.

  8. How can I feel secure towards information theft?

    Digital information security (iGOvirtual™ or a local network) is dependant upon a solid initial infrastructure architecture design and careful monitoring of requests that change the initial parameters of that design.

    Only two things can increase the odds of information theft: a weak front-end configuration (the connection between your servers and the Internet) and bad request management and monitoring.

    Rest assured that after a conversation with us, after we explain how this works, all your fears in this matter will be put to rest.

  9. If I forget to turn off my workstation will my data be lost?

    Nope, after 4 hours of inactivity, your account (your connection to iGOvirtual™) will shut off automatically, however, all your applications and data will still remain open and happy on our servers. When you login next, you will simply start where you left off. And, of course, the 4 hour delay is completely customisable by you. Shorter, longer, you decide.

  10. Will I be able to download software on my account?

    You will not. It's again, a question of security. Your data must remain safe, so the end-user is not allowed to do anything that would compromise that. However, if you need a certain software program, and if by chance we don't have it already, we'll download it for you, register it (if necessary and with no cost to you), install it, and all you'll have to do is click one button to use it. The iGOvirtual™ service includes the installation of anything you want by our experts, it comes with the package.

    However, on your local PC (when it's not connect to iGOvirtual™), you can still do whatever you want! Now that's freedom and security all rolled into one!

  11. I'm uncomfortable with how much I'll have to depend on you, could you address that issue?

    No problem! Keep in mind that you can leave whenever you want to leave but, also, keep in mind that this dependence that you feel is what provides all that security that you so crave. And it's normal that you would depend on us, we become your IT department (the best IT department that you can imagine!), and every business on the planet is dependant on their IT department. The only difference between what you have now, and what you get with iGOvirtual™, is the money you save, the time you save, the technological advances you get, and the peace of mind that you feel knowing that your data, applications, everything, is in the hands of a team of experts who do nothing else but make sure that all works flawlessly.

  12. But, I just bought new PCs, it feels like I'm wasting that investment. What do you think?

    Well, as we all know, a PCs maximum effective life expectancy is about 5 years (if you're lucky!). With iGOvirtual™, you'll be able to use your computers for a considerably longer period of time than that. When you're connected to iGOvirtual™, you bypass your PC's CPU, your RAM, etc, you use that off our super-servers. No internal resources of your computer are used when you're connected. If you bought new PCs, we can get them working for you on specialized tasks, graphic programs, anything really, it's a question of what you need them for, let us take care of the rest.

  13. What will I do with all my PCs?

    Anything you want because as long as they turn on, we can connect them to iGOvirtual™. As mentioned previously, this connection bypasses the CPU, the RAM, and uses our servers to run everything. Suddenly, all your old PCs are running faster than you ever thought they could, and this without any "physical" modification to their internal systems.

  14. What if my computer gets stolen?

    Nothing happens. All your data, applications, everything is on our servers, not on your hard-drive. Your virtual office is still accessible from anywhere there's an Internet connection and a browser. No one will ever be able to steal data from your company by stealing your computers.

  15. We work on many different platforms, Windows, Apple, Linux, Unix, AS400, will that be a problem?

    Absolutely not! Our technology permits you to run all those systems through our portal.

  16. I often hire consultants to work internally and I have employees who act as consultants at various locations, will that be a problem?

    Absolutely not. iGOvirtual™ is a per-user service. If you need more accounts, simply activate them for the desired time period and then deactivate them.

    If you travel, that's even better. You can access your virtual office from any computer, anywhere, as long as it has a browser connected to the Internet.

  17. Sometimes I have to work off-line, when on a plane or in areas that have no Internet, how does that work?

    If that ever happens, all you have to do is work with your normal applications and then, once you are on-line again, all the data gets synchronized.

  18. What's my guarantee that this will work?

    First we give you the opportunity to test it out for free: run one or some of your applications, test out what you need to test out. You can also call our clients who've been using the iGOvirtual™ environment for some time now and get their opinion. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied with iGOvirtual™, we'll reconstruct your original network just the way it was, and this, completely free of charge.

  19. Do I have to pay for infrastructure support (activation, deactivation, modification, etc.)?

    Nope. It's a turnkey service, all that is included in the basic price.

  20. Are we going to be stuck with iGOvirtual™ forever?

    Absolutely not! Our service requires no temporal commitment on your part. You can leave whenever you want. If you chose to do so, we'll simply upload your data, software, everything, back into your network for you. However, if you want to take advantage of a price freeze, say sign a 3-year contract at current prices, we can arrange that for you as well. Rest assured that as long as you're with us, you'll always have great value delivered through a system that is constantly improving.

  21. What do I do with my equipment, newly acquired or not, when I've migrated to iGOvirtual™?

    You have two choices: you can keep your equipment, or you can sell it. The first choice is needed if you ever decide to leave iGOvirtural and return to your original configuration. As for selling your equipment, you can decide to do that yourself, or you can use our re-sell service.

  22. Why are there so few acronyms on your site?

    Because at Oriso Solutions we believe in simplicity above all. You don't need to know how a jet engine works to take the plane, so why make IT any more complex? What good is a website if only 1% of the population understands sentences like: "Development of custom monitoring plugins, including SNMP monitors required to meet KPI metrics, as well as KPI setup beyond standard AppLogic monitoring capabilities are not included in OaaS service…" Well, you get the point, right?

  23. Why should I switch to iGOvirtual™ if my network and infrastructure work well?

    iGOvirtual™ is not only for those whose internal systems are not working well. In most small and medium sized businesses there are budgets and resources associated with IT, and that budget and those resources often times are not enough to fully optimize the performance of those systems. In other words, most businesses are not using their systems to their full potential. Sometimes it's a questions of money, sometimes it's a questions of time, sometimes it's simply a question of "I didn't know you could do that", and sometimes the work load is so great that IT gets put aside.   24. Cost wise, is it less expensive to manage my IT with iGOvirtual™ or the old way?

    That depends entirely on you. If you're a minimalist, if you have a high tolerance for technical problems, if you're completely indifferent to employee productivity, and if you don't believe in value added services that improve internal and external communication and information management, then iGOvirtual™ might not be very advantageous for you. However…
    • If you are tired of technical things going wrong,

  27. Our company is merging with another, or possible acquiring another company, is that going to be a problem?

    Absolutely not. With iGOvirtual™, it's really easy to integrate a network of another company into your own and vice versa.

  28. If I invest in my equipment, I can pay them off, and then they belong to me. With iGOvirtual™, I'm paying a fee based on the number of users but nothing belongs to me. How do you justify that?

    Well, that depends. If your business is growing, your expenses will not be able to follow your budget if you're constantly expending capital to acquire, install, and maintain your new equipment. Plus, computer equipment has the highest depreciation rate of any product on the market. If you purchase a state-of-the-art computer, one year later it's almost obsolete (Moore's law). What good is owning a Pentium 2 333Mhz in 2008? So, the fact that you own things that are worthless is not an advantage for your business, it's more like a storage burden. With iGOvirtual™, that will never happen since you're not buying new computers, but using what you have to access our new computers. You're always getting the same level of service, you always have training staff available that doesn't consume your internal human resources, your stations will be able to run all the software that exists, you'll never worry about compatibility and software/OS versions ever again, you can have as many stations as you want that will never depreciate in function, and you will always be working at the speed of current technology.   29. Can your technicians take over my workstation without me knowing it?

    Absolutely not. When a service call comes in, in order for our technicians to intervene, they are duty-bound to ask your permission first. It's part of our code of ethics.

  30. Are there any of my competitors that are using iGOvirtual™ already?

    Maybe, that depends what industry you work in. If they're not, well, here's your chance to get a leg up on the competition, and if they are, it's proof that iGOvirtual™ is adaptable to your market and compatible with your industry.

  31. How long will it take for my employees to be trained on iGOvirtual™?

    On average it takes 30 minutes. Plus, if some of your employees need more time, our telephone assistance service is there to help and is included in the price. You'll be saving time and money since you won't have to handle the training, the maintenance, the installation of software, the registration of software, and so forth…

  32. I already have an IT manager (or work with an external party), why do I need your service?

    It's very good that you have someone to manage your information technology. You're still going to need that person in the future, however, with iGOvirtual™, you will use him for proactive purposes and not reactive purposes.

    Here are some questions you should ask yourself:
    • How much money am I spending on staff trainings, how often do I have to train staff?
    • Do you have someone to replace that person if he or she is sick, absent, in training, on vacation, or simply unreachable?
    • Do you feel that this person stabilizes your network, and works to add value to your company, or is that person simply putting out fires all the time?
    • Do you feel that this person will stay with your company for an extended period of time considering the worker shortage in the IT field?

    Unfortunately many issues stem from "I already have an IT person". The few lucky companies who truly have experts in this field are exceptions.
